The aim of this site is to share information on the bryophytes (mosses, liverworts & hornworts) of North-east England in a way that is accessible to anyone with a general interest in natural history. Most of the data behind the site has been collected by members of the British Bryological Society (BBS). I hope the site encourages you to take a closer look at these fascinating plants.
